ISAG STR Parentage Test

In addition to the Alpaca DNA Colour Test we also offer the ISAG Alpaca STR Parentage Test. This is used to compare the data of an alpaca against a suspected parent, often a sire, to confirm / prove the heritage.

Approved by ISAG means that the data works internationally. You can buy a bundle where both of the tests (Colour and Parentage) can be taken from the same blood sample that is placed onto the FTA card provided.

We welcome individual breeders to submit samples, groups of breeders or alpaca associations who wish to compliment their pedigree register and/or screening programme with DNA perentage verification.
